Call for Presentations

What We’re Looking For:
Exciting presentations or interactive demonstrations that fit into one of our “communities” to help us build out another awesome line-up for this year’s event.

  • Car Hacking at speed

  • Pentesting without any actual pens!

  • Compliance conundrums

  • Cigar talks on fire! (Our lawyer insisted we mention you should not actually be “on fire”)

  • Application security or what we experts like to call, “a joke”

  • Current Events and how to beat depression!

Not Sure About Speaking?:
Don’t let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game! We strongly encourage you to put yourself out there and submit your ideas. Who knows, you could get your first speaking gig and get to come hang out with a bunch of your friends from the community!

The six communities that will build out the backbone of this year’s event are:

  • Penetration Testing

  • Application Security

  • Internet of Things

  • Social Engineering

  • Enterprise Defender

  • Threats

Presentation Format:
Presentations are slated for 45 minutes, aside from keynotes which are 30 minutes. You also have the option to submit as an “interactive demonstration” and if approved, we will handle these accordingly as space permits.

Call for Presentations Deadline:
Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET

Submission Requirements:
Submissions must include an abstract, max 200 words, and contact information.

Selection Process:
The Security Weekly hosts will serve as our CFP review board and will decide on the best presentations for our audience/attendees. Please keep in mind that we have many other opportunities for guest appearances across the Security Weekly network. Even if you aren’t selected to speak at this event, entering your submission could result in an invitation to join one of the network podcasts or other events.

All submitters will be notified if their presentation has been accepted by July 31, 2021.

Speaker Benefits:
If you are selected to speak at Security Weekly Unlocked, we will waive your attendance fee. We regret that we are not able to cover the cost of travel or lodging for all speakers at this time. By not covering travel costs for our speakers, we are able to keep ticket prices low and to make the conference accessible to the largest number of participants possible.
